Update: Yuki's Life And LGBT Advocacy Donation Drive.

Things were looking up sometime this week. Then the ground of the earth was shaking underneath my feet. The Malaysian section responded very slowly, with RM 170.00 total (account) and USD 70.00 (PayPal). Overseas another USD 100.00 was received via PayPal. In response to the request of almost all my donors, I decided to keep all donors anonymous except when called upon to be named. There was also another notable donor from the US who gave USD 300 via Western Union. That saved me a place to stay and food for another month. I am still looking for a new place to stay cause I had already been requested to move. And with my car hanging in the balance, the PayPal situation is now vital.

I had received the Al-Rajhi debit card, but alas because it is unverifiable, my PayPal withdrawal to card limit is set to $0.00. I will be hoping and praying the Public Bank debit card, which is known to be verifiable, will be arriving soon. As a contingency measure, I will be applying for the Tune Pre-Paid Card. I hope the PayPal issue will be solved as soon as possible. All that are important to pay for my car installment which is overly due, and to book a new place to stay. Hope the issue with withdrawals to PayPal would not persist until the end of the month. If that happens, I will be in a deeper mess.

Meanwhile, some donors had plans to donate earlier but had not. This may be due to the current Hari Raya holidays and the end of the month while most are waiting for their salaries. In the meantime I am blogging at a rate of almost everyday, not only to update all my friends and donors of my status, but also to continue working to highlight LGBT issues in Malaysia and worldwide. I am again, thankful and grateful for all of the donors kind assistance, some who even suggest jobs for me. I am still waiting for the answer of an admin job in Seputeh, if that does not happen I will turn to a job at a mental health facility owned by the aunt of one of my readers. I still wish embark into other options for businesses.

In the meantime, I plan to continue writing, then when I get consistent readership for another week I will put the blog on Google AdSense; or add adverlets and nuffnang as suggested by another reader of my blog; not only to highlight it, but also to raise cash as well. It is truly uncomfortable for me to be doing such a donation drive, therefore this shall be the first and the last that I am running it. This drive will run on until Christmas eve 2008. By then I pray things would be better. My life was in the hands of people, but it is nice to know that there are certainly good souls out there who did not judge me, rather understand my predicament as a transsexual female living in a country Malaysia and struggling. I was expecting a backlash but did not happen. And I will never forget the hands of those who lifted me up.

(For those who wish to donate by transfer from overseas banks, please e-mail to yuki.choe@yahoo.com for Western Union transfers, SWIFT code and other details. Thank you. Love & Hugs, Yuki.)
